The most clear way to curb food cravings is to stop eating too much. I have heard this line a different times before and used to say it a lot at my work place, while watching some of my friends eat, at home, at parties. I would like to spend some time and write about the meaning of food cravings.

Let start by saying that eating a lot does not automatically lead to cravings for food or weight gain instead it is the selection of food you indulge in. Cravings for food are increased when eating some certain kinds of foods i.e. some type of food stimulates and increases them and eating another type of food might help them. This “good” food has the power to enable you to stop your cravings. For example, you can choose to take some vitamins in order to stop them such as B vitamins – also known as b-vitamins. These are essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates into the simple sugar glucose. The B-complex vitamins can be found in nuts, whole-grain cereals fruits, leafy green vegetables, whole-grain cereals fruits, rice, meats, eggs, milk and fish.

Now the most common cause of food cravings are the imbalances in the chemical orientation in our bodies or system and if you need to gain access to the right nutrients for your body then you should consider eating the right kind of food and in the process control chemical imbalances. This is true even for woman who are premenstrual and want some foods that fight PMS.

Now that you know about chemical imbalances I guess you can understand why some weight loss advertrisers claim that you can eat as much as you want but still lose weight.
